Interreg Euro-MED - CARBON FARMING MED

The Carbon Farming MED project aims to help Mediterranean countries meet the EU’s 2035 climate goals in agriculture. This initiative will establish the first cross-border platform in the region for trading carbon credits, promoting sustainable farming practices and economic opportunities. By enhancing carbon sequestration and supporting eco-friendly agriculture, the project advances climate neutrality and fosters regional cooperation in combating climate change.

Focus

We are dedicated to advancing a sustainable and resilient Mediterranean agriculture system by addressing climate challenges outlined in the European Climate Law, aiming for climate neutrality in the land sector by 2035. We support farmers in adopting regenerative practices that enhance carbon capture and promote environmental restoration.

By establishing a platform that connects carbon credit buyers and sellers across the Mediterranean, we facilitate a common market for carbon credits.
